Presenting the Vitesse Racing MAF kit.
Comes complete with MAF Sensor mounted in aluminium farbricated MAF tube, Freeflow cone Airfilter, chip board, KLR Chip, all pipes, hoses and wiring to integrate this item in place of the standard Airflowmeter and Airbox.
The original Air FLow Meter (AFM) on a 944 Turbo uses a spring loaded trap door to measure airflow. It is only able to measure airflow to a pre set level, after this it is maxed out and unable to tell the engine management system any further information regarding the amound of air being consumed. Typically this happens at around 3000 RPM at full throttle and just as the boost is begining to build. After that the engine management computer is completely in the dark regarding how much air is being consumed and therefore how much fuel to add.
Typically we have found that the standard "barn-door" airflow meter fitted to 944 turbo's also causes a restriction in airflow and therefore limits power to around 340BHP whatever you do to everything else. Using the VRMAF kit JMG have tuned even standard 2.5 944 turbo engines to in excess of 420BHP and 400lbs of Torque!
The VRMAF is also something used as standard on all JMG 3.2 944 turbo conversions where in excess of 500 lbs of torque has been achieved!!
Unlike other MAF Kits sold for the 944 turbo (Scivision, Promax, Lindsey, etc) which emulate a original maf sensor, so only benefit from reducing the restriction of airflow, the VR MAF Kit measures the actual airflow all the way to the redline, with ANY level of boost and any level of breathing requirement. Where as on a standard 944 Turbo (even with other MAF kits) the airflow meter is only able to read airflow up to around 4000 RPM and the initial onset of boost.
This product comes with installation instructions and some minor wiring is required to install it
We recommend that this product is fitted with a VR-Piggyback controller, which will allow you to use a laptop to fine tune your fueling.

This product can be installed in around 2 hours by a fitting centre, it can also be installed by a DIY mechanic without special tools but installation time may vary.
